A lift is part of a working system: vehicle, building, concrete, technician and long-term support. Work through these decisions before comparing model numbers.
Document curb weight, wheelbase, tire diameter, lifting points and the heaviest vehicle the bay must support—including future work.
Two-post lifts maximize under-vehicle access; four-post lifts support drive-on service and storage; scissor and low-rise lifts fit fast-service and space-conscious bays.
Check ceiling height, door tracks, usable width, vehicle approach, technician movement, utilities and required safety clearances.
