01How often should vehicle lifts be inspected?+

The Automotive Lift Institute states that automotive lifts installed in the United States and Canada must be inspected at least annually. More frequent attention may be appropriate when the manufacturer, operating conditions or an identified concern calls for it.

02Can RML inspect lifts from different manufacturers?+

RML’s ALI Certified inspectors can inspect a wide variety of eligible vehicle lifts across many manufacturers. Send us the lift type, brand, model and quantity so Dispatch can confirm the scope.

03Which lift type is best for my shop?+

That depends on the vehicles, work performed, bay dimensions, concrete, access needs and future plans. RML can compare two-post, four-post, scissor, low-rise, mobile-column, platform and inground options around the actual application.

04Can RML help measure and plan the space?+

Yes. A design consultation can address vehicle fit, ceiling and door conflicts, bay workflow, utilities and equipment placement before a final recommendation is made.

05Is installation included in online equipment pricing?+

Not automatically. Installation is quoted separately because travel, delivery access, assembly, concrete, utilities and site conditions vary. Eligible products can still be purchased without installation when offered through Shop Online.

06Who should operate shop equipment?+

Only personnel who have received appropriate training and understand the model-specific operating instructions should use the equipment. The manufacturer manual and employer safety procedures remain the primary directions for operation.
