ALI INSPECTION FAQS

What to expect.

Why choose an ALI Certified inspector?

ALI Certified inspectors use established inspection procedures and recognized industry practices. A documented professional inspection helps equipment owners identify safety concerns and demonstrate that lift condition and maintenance are being taken seriously.

Do I need to own a specific brand of lift?

No. Our ALI Certified inspectors can inspect a wide variety of vehicle lifting equipment from many manufacturers. If you are unsure whether your equipment qualifies, send Dispatch the brand and model information.

How often should vehicle lifts be inspected?

ALI guidance calls for qualified lift inspections at least annually. Regular inspection helps identify wear, support safe operation and reduce the risk of unexpected downtime.

How long does an inspection take?

Timing depends on the number, type and condition of the lifts. Dispatch will use your form details to plan the visit and minimize disruption to your operation.

Will an inspection interrupt my business?

RML works around your schedule whenever possible. Many inspections can be coordinated while the facility continues normal operations.

What happens if a lift does not pass?

The inspector will explain the findings and identify recommended corrective action. The goal is to help you understand the concern and return the equipment to safe operating condition.

Can you inspect multiple lifts during one visit?

Yes. Many customers schedule all facility lifts together to reduce travel, simplify documentation and minimize disruption.
